I don't know Brother. I guess it's the perception that it means they all are or something. I have trust issues, but I certainly don't think all pastors are crooks.

It is not "board run" in the sense that we normally think of, but we have a board, and if the need arose, they could initiate proceedings to call for a vote of confidence according to the bylaws.

WOW!!!! That is something. It is good, but it can also be bad, especially if many people have something against you. I don't think that will happen though because you're a good ol' boy.

I forgot to deal with the second part of your question.

Yes, I was voted in ten years ago.

Thanks for the kind words.

Ok. I kinda figured that's how you would answer. While I see you as being firmly planted in the conservative camp, I don't see you as a control freak.

Once trust has been compromised it's hard to trust again...

Bro,

I don't either, but I do know of some. Thank God that all of them aren't like that and that is one of the things that I love about Pastor Denham. He is what I see as a pastor that loves God and truly wants to do His Will.

Rico, I doubt if anyone would admit to being a control freak, especially if they were.

So there would probably be little value in my asserting that I am not one.

I think if you polled my saints you wouldn't find any of them who would describe me that way.

While there is certainly procedure in place in our bylaws to deal with the removal of a pastor, the reality is that as long as I preach the truth and stay clean morally, my "position" is very secure, because of the trust these very kind people place in me.

I am blessed not to have had to deal with much strife and infighting and conflict in the church I have pastored for ten years now.

I guess the Lord knew He needed to send me to a place where people were kind and easy to lead.

Bro,

I truly mean it though, because I usually know how a person is when I first meet them. I believe that you're an excellent pastor and I am not trying to puff you up, but it is something I seen in you that tells me this.
