More dishonesty.
this refers to a job application. We are not applying for a government job when we fly.

The individual is notified that they have an opportunity and/or right to decline to provide the identifying information requested. This is irrelevant to buying an airplane ticket and boarding an airplane.
why would I want a badge?

This is Section 6.2 of the Security Threat Assessment for Airport Badge and Credential Holders.
This is about people applying for Airport badges & credentials.
Nice try though.

Looks to me the brighter people design, build and fly airplanes. The next tier is the airline service folks. I am so glad the "inspectors" looking for guns don't get invited to build planes.
Wonder which manual authorized the inspectors vulgar insults?

It is. It pertains more to what my job will be regarding contractors and employees as opposed to the average passenger. But I gave it as an example. No one is legally required to provide information or be arrested (this is where security was out of line in my opinion, they shouldn't have threatened arrest). However, while someone chooses to exercize their rights and not cooperate they have to realize, they are not entitled to a flight and the airport is within it's rights to deny them access to their flight. And if they don't leave of their own accord, security is well within their rights to detain the person until authorities arrive.
For example, I know a corner market down the street from me might require shoes. You’re within your rights not to wear shoes…but they are within their rights to deny you service. Or you can cooperate with their standards and shop there. It’s entirely up to you.

"the airport"
Another misunderstanding. These crude thugs are not "the airport"
Any educated person knows when these guys in the recording are asked a question pertaining to "authority" they just threaten even more.
There is a lot of unemployment in america and theyre are hundreds more in the pool to choose from as these guys turnover.
Quote:
WASHINGTON — An ambitious program that paid the nation's airport screeners $18 million in bonuses as an enticement to stay in their jobs did not reduce the turnover rate at the Transportation Security Administration, which still has one of the highest attrition rates in the U.S. government, according to agency data.
The TSA has battled high turnover among screeners since the agency was formed after the Sept. 11 attacks. It is looking for ways to curb a staffing problem that has lengthened lines at airport checkpoints.
The TSA began paying 36,000 of its 45,000 screeners "retention bonuses" of $500 or $1,000 each in May. The turnover rate over the summer was unchanged from the winter and spring months, according to the TSA and the federal Office of Personnel Management.

This job is attractive to unskilled and unemployed people. Tese are people that sacrifice their lives to protect our safety. They miss Oprah and Judge Judy to work for the people.

Coadie…I was in the Army. I thought they were relatively cordial compared to how we would have treated him for not cooperating us when I was in. I don’t know how old you are Coadie…but you’re getting your panties in a bunch over the little stuff. I can hear Coadie now, “But they cussed at me! Waaaa” ROLF. Give me a break.

You are very disrespectful.
I have an employee handbook that has rules pertaining to creating a hostile environment , vulgarity and other offensive behaviors.
I really could care less about your army background. A vulgar mouth is not permitted for airline workers. It is also not acceptible at the low level either.
We are not at war in the airports.
I suspect you and i are also at extreme opposites in regard to obscenity.
But you have admitted to breaking the law and were caught trying to carry a dangerous knife into a police station.
Fortunately when my college student children fly to ski, perform in music and sports, they are experienced in dealing with the hoy paloy.
Small aircraft sales are booming because of the nasty TSA handlers that are slow and disrespectful of service.

Coadie…without “Googling” the answer… why do you think the turnover rate is so high with TSA? It’s not a cake walk. For example, they get tested 18 times a year by TSIs who attempt to sneak weapons through. Fail one test while you’re on duty and you’re fired. Agents are often stressed to the max. I agree, it’s not a job that the average person off the streets can do. A lot of people who are under qualified and who are not mentally prepared attempt the job and find that it’s not a pleasant experience. I know this, I wouldn’t take a job as checkpoint screener.
Coadie… most government workers are just good old fashioned Americans like you. I work in government. You report to your desk, office, or assignment. Sometimes get some coffee. Talk to a few friends about the news, family, the kids, problems, or the church. In the background Yvonne is playing her radio set to “The Path” (a Christian station) while she tells her daughter goodbye after calling her on her cell to make sure she made it to school on time, the telephones start ringing with citizens and your day begins. You guys are stereo typing government employees. We’re just average Americans like you trying to get the job done. Coadie…we’re not the enemy. We’re your friends and neighbors.
I think you’re just an angry little man with an axe to grind.

Coadie... I didn't "break a law". Don't be so silly. Had I sneaked it into the police station...that would have been breaking the ordinance.
