You realize that many of these preachers ARE the ministry and money going into the ministry can mean a luxury car to drive in...the most expensive hotels to stay in (Hinn)...personal wardrobe because they have to look good on stage and face lifts because they have to look younger on TV?

Im not saying anything about her personally here, but those "answers" don't really mean a lot. They are just words. There are a lot of questions going on right now. The best thing they can all do is submit to some accountable organization like the ones that watch over finances like ECFA

Prax, her website publishes her audit report. I haven't looked at it yet but you have prompted me to. She does say her ministry owns a private jet. I'm not sure if that come out of the 80% or the 20%. She defends the expenses as part of the national ministry she is fulfilling. A national mission with international viewing requires bigger spending. I personally don't think she needs to be on TV everyday, but that is what she sees as her calling.

I think all of these independent ministries and para ministries should submit to some other org or group for accountability. I know that many or most of the TV preachers do not from what I understand. There has been calls and requests by the aforementioned group and others but the big name preachers often reject such scrutiny.

I think it would be to their benefit as well as all Christiandom if they did submit

Why would independent ministries submit to a board or org that had nothing to do with them getting to where they are? I'm sure they have internal boards and trustees, it's the American way.

They are where they are because of personal charisma and people skills. No one in their right mind would submit to an any authority outside of the current legal restraints and parameters like the IRS.

Everyone on here knows I have no sympathy for White and such like because they are false teachers that will ........ those who follow them. However it is their followers who give them their money. The followers can quit or sue. But these folks like Larry King who is worth no telling how much to question White seems unfair to me. She should have just starting asking him about his multiple divorces and enstranged child relations and how much money he makes and what he has. The interview would end. Same with Grassley giving money to Grassley and crew we have no choice leaglized bandits with the power of the IRS. White's followers WILLINGLY give. And the membership are glad they live high.

What does getting to where they are have to do with it? It's about accountability.

Really? Big corporations do it all the time! They hire external accounting firms to audit themselves. Many people in their right minds would indeed do just that.

If my husand cheated on me, I would DIVORCE him. He takes FULL responsibility for the FAILED marriage. They have chosen not to give us details, I think she is very wise in not sharing them. JMO
