Wholeheareted, I was just joking around. I knew what you meant. Most churches have the baptismal in a prominent place in the rear center.

It is unusual to not see a baptistry in a Pentecostal church. It would be interesting to hear what the thought was about this.

As best I recollect the bible does not teach that baptism has to be public so perhaps they have decided to have a baptistry away from the sanctuary. It does seem counter intuitive though for a church who has as one of its main distinctives the mode of baptism.

Dan, next time you go and visit look my friend Paul Moore up. He is on staff there. He use to post on here. Now he just lurks. I think you two would enjoy each others fellowship.

I'll be there tonite ... not sure if the staff will be there for the LLamados Spanish conference. Brother Perez, host pastor, was kind enough to invite me to the minister's dinner. I'll see if Paul is around.

I'll try to be there for the honoring of Brother Kilgore next week.

I played at a church last year (out of state) and they had the Organ Leslie speaker in another room in the back somewhere ! I hated it- could not get the feel. and electric drums??? UGGGGG! those things are GARBAGE!
I cannot stand to play where they have the Leslie in another room. It never sounds right. I have mine right behind me and that's where it is going to stay.

The church we built in AR had the baptistery to one side. Nothing wrong with that. I may do it here in our new building.

I know of two churches that needed more room and remodeled and put the baptistry in the back. One was up high in the back the other right in the middle of the back wall.

Several of the older churches that I went to in AR had the baptistery in the basement fellowship hall.

It is just a little unusual in the large moder churches for the baptistery not to be right up in the middle.

Nothing wrong with a store front. We started a church in one. But the inside looked just like a church.

If you will re-read what I said you will find I never said a THING about the church having a problem with outreach. I was talking about the web site design, good grief
