If one believes long uncut hair on a woman is a heaven or hell situation, there can be no excuses or reasons to cut or trim a ladies hair. Ladies with brain surgery or chemotherapy will split hell wide open!

If one believes it is a shame to trim or cut a ladies hair, then the lady should cut her hair to a reasonable length so her hair will still look good. After all, her hair is her glory, and there's no glory in having a bald spot or chucks cut out of your hair!

This probably doesn't meet the "Spirtual Wisdom" test, but when Jesus was confronted for breaking the Sabbath, He used an analogy of an ox falling in the ditch on the Sabbath to show that, in certain situations it would be acceptable to "break the Sabbath".

The fact is, if it is a sin for a women to cut her hair, then there is no reason that is good enough to cut it. Just like abortion. People want to make loopholes and excuses when they are the ones who are faced with the decision. But abortion is murder, no matter what situation you find yourself in.

That's why we should learn the difference between principles to live by and heaven and hell issues.

There is a principle in the word of God that a woman is to have long hair. Many have performed hermeneutical gymnastics by taking that principle to the extreme, and made cutting the hair of a woman a heaven or hell issue.

If you think it is a sin for a woman to cut her hair at all, then there is no situation that changes that. If you simply see it as the principle it is, then this would be no big deal, she would cut it out. JMHO
