Been there, done that. This too shall pass! It's a wonder Ashley's door didn't fall off the hinges between ages 12 & 14.

I'm suprised Lindsay's door hasn't fallen off yet.

God has blessed my wife and me with 13 grandchildren, 8 girls and 5 boys.
They range in age from 21 years old down to one year old.
Until you become a grandparent, you just don't know how great it is.

Parenting girls is hard enough,I'll leave the grandparenting to you.

Bro. Scott,

Not being critical, but if she is slamming the door more than once

...or maybe twice, that's her parents fault. I wouldn't have slammed

it once in our home. If I had it would have been the last time. I believe

there is a breakdown in the home, and other areas also.

Our children tried their "luck" talking back, and acting arrogantly but

we dealt with it. It didn't continue. No, we were not perfect and neither

were our children, but the Word of God gives instuctions on whatever!!

Neither my dad or mom yelled at we eleven children. We didn't yell at

ours. They didn't have to. The "looks" were enough. If not they handled

it in another way. One way or another we got the message. We learned

how to parent from my parents. We were taught discipline. So we practiced

it with our children also.

If each generation would do their part to discipline, to not let things go,

this world would be a better place to live.

By the time they are teenagers, it is hard, but not impossible to start

discipling them. IF children don't learn to respect parents and grandparrents,

etc., teachers, those in authority, they will become lawless. The law is for

the lawless. We have reaped a generation that because no one was home

to be there for them, to care, to discipline, and to teach, etc. we have

reaped a generation of those like in Prov.30:11. "There is a generation that

curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother." We need fathers and

mothers that know the Word of God and do it!!

Bro. Scott, I am not directing this necessarily at you, but there is a problem

and we might as well face it. If we lack wisdom, we can ask of God and He

will give us all we need. I ask Him regularly because I feel my need of more

each day.

Blessings,

Falla39

Bro. Sam,

Got a few on ya! From three sons and three daughters, we are blessed

with 19 grandchildren, fourteen g-sons, and five g-daughters. We just

learned that there will be 20, come spring, the Lord willing.

These grandchildren are just extensions of ourselves and our children.

Like a great tree that grows up and the branches just keep spreading

on out. And what is important is not that it just keeps spreading, but

that it will bear fruit on those branches.

Yes, Bro. Sam, it is great being grandparents. We love it. They are

every one very respectful to my husband and myself. It started at

home. My dad's home many years ago. Respect and love was passed

down from generation to generation. And the beautiful part is that it

need not ever stop!!

Everyone of our children and grandchildren were in church today, five

and their families in church with us. The other son's family was in a

neighboring church where they live. We are blessed. It didn't just happen,

it was on purpose. That purpose started a long time ago! To God be the

Praise, Honour and Glory, in Jesus Name!

Blessings,

Falla39

(He drools just like me!)
Bro. Steadfast,

What a beautiful, precious grandchild. The Bible says, "Children are the

heritage of the LORD". He claims them as His own Heritage. Yet He blesses

us by letting us care for them for a season. He allows us to be their first

teachers. He trusted Joseph and Mary with His only begotten Son. And at

the time appointed of the Father, He anointed Him for the Purpose He was

born. After we have done all we can do, only the Father can do what we

cannot! If we do our part, our Heavenly Father will do the rest! What hope!!

Blessings,

Falla39
