Since your dream is remembered so vividly and with such detail, it must have some significance..Doesn't the bible say "...old men shall dream dreams," etc...Smiles.

Yes, judgment is a serious and important task for the Church. It is impossible to be a "peace MAKER" without using justice. This is why Jesus said:

Matthew 18:14-20
(14) Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
(15) Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
(16) But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
(17) And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican.
(18) Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
(19) Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
(20) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

The "two or three" is talking about Jesus aligning Himself with the agreement of elders in the Church in matters requiring judgment. If these elders judge without hypocrisy or prejudice, then those wronged will experience proper and godly justice. Such judgment thereby insures peace.

Remember, Jesus is called the “PRINCE of peace.” This title shows He acts as the government bringing justice against those who have hurt or wronged an innocent soul. Such action thus insures Jesus’ kingdom will be ruled in peace.

Pehaps so, but I would say if they themselves confess to be a follower of Jesus then they are in fact subject to reflecting the fruit of a Christian and should be judged as a Christian. We know there are false brethren... but they don't wear gold stars for ID.

Very good analogy, I might have to use it for my sermon tomorrow on Burying Your Talent, taken from the parable of the talents, (Matthew 25).

Reminds of that famous saying atttributed to the famed missionary CT Studd, "Some want to live within the sound of chapel bells, but I want to build a mission a yard from the gates of Hell"

I love that sentiment!
Check out these lyrics By Steve Camp;

Run To The Battle

Quote:
Some people want to live
Within the sound of chapel bells
But I want to run a mission
a yard from the gates of Hell
And with everyone you meet
I'll take them the gospel and share it well
And look around you as you hesitate
For another soul just fell
Let's run to the battle
Run to the battle

Do you have your armor on
We're in the middle of a raging war
We've been training for so long
Have we learned to use His sword?
We may not be ready
But we serve a mighty Lord
And He's made us more than conquerors
So what are you waiting for?
Let's run to the battle
We got to run, run to the battle

He has trampled down the enemy
And has given us the victory
When we pray we learn to see
That His army
We are marching on our knees

There'll be times when we grow weak
Let's keep our faith alive
Let your faces shine with glory
For He's helped us to survive
And in that final hour
When you feel like you're ready to die
Will you hear the trumpet sound
Will you hear the warrior cry
Run to the battle
We got to run, run to the battle

repeat VAMP and fade (ad lib lyrics)

Thanks for all of your comments! Those that know me know that posting that dream is out of character for me. I don't claim to be even in the top 50% spiritually on this forum.

Some of the interpretations are very interesting to me!

I was thinking yesterday that the final family that planted seed all the way to the fence, would have planted in vain had it not been for diligence and hard work.

God bless you all!
