I know friends who paintball, with cool looking guns.... that go to "paintball sanctioned" areas and/or zones.... people would expect to see those kind of activities there and have no problem with it.... sneaking around in the middle of a highly-populated city wearing trench coats, gas masks, etc after midnight didn't give the police officer the appearance of "harmlessness" did it?
The police officer did what he was paid to do, investigate activities/situations that "look" potentially criminal in nature....

Stupid kids... the fall of the church... over some kids playing guns?

I think that this thread does show some serious mindset problems but they don't rest with these kids.
the world changes.... mindsets change.... what is perceived as innocence in yesteryear may be considered a possible danger in today's world.... thats why kids walk through metal-detectors to get into their schools, why we can't bring certain things on airplanes anymore, etc etc

the normal routine activities are still as innocent as they were years ago, but due to the abuse and/or danger of a very small few.... similiar looking actions afterwards are viewed with critisism rather that acceptance or tolerance....

This activity is going on at a church and the pastor doesn't know about it???? Oh, I'm sorry, it's seven pastors! Do any of the seven pastors know about this going on and do they even know the adult who is organizing the event?

The article did state, "Some of the boys were dressed in black trench coats and gas masks." I don't know if that would qualify as deranged killers but remember that the Columbine shooters were dressed in black trench coats.

I did read your comments and I still have the same thing to say... sell your computer to avoid the very appearance of evil. Evil people do evil things on the computer and the internet.

If that scripture applies to these kids and the adults, then it applies to internet use just as much.

I'm completely agreeing with Chan regarding this matter.... it was the appearance of what they were wearing and their possessions that concerned the officer.... their activity was plainly innocent in nature, but drew criticism from the police officer and anyone else that may have seen it (not knowing beforehand what they were doing)

the police officer HAS to assume those guns are real until they are proved otherwise, which made all those kids a potential threat for a short-time.... a confrontation with officers in another part of the country might have yielded much less favorable results for those kids.... injury, fines, etc

Ronzo, I have no desire to argue with you this morning.... I agree to disagree with you....
