But then he was in ICU and then the rehab hospital all last summer, during which time I could NOT bring myself to go out driving with Justin. I had way too much on my mind to venture into something like that as well.
By the time Walt got back around and able to get to the car to go riding with Justin, it was November. His temps were going to expire in DECEMBER! So we made him renew them and he couldn't even take driver's ed until a few months later.
Now he does fine. I don't know about letting him out on an expressway alone yet. But to get to Toledo or around here, he's fine.
But it definately is the most stressful thing I've ever had to do!!!!! I can't imagine how it'll be with our second son. Justin is the level-headed kid and very meticulous. Keith is polar opposite!!! He'll be much more interested in impressing his friends with a radio blaring than in driving safely. I can see it now!!!

Fortunately, the next in line (my older daughter) is the cautious type. My youngest, however, is quite the daredevil.
My son has only driven on the expressway once - during driver's ed - for only 45 minutes. He has very little experience. I am NOT looking forward to riding with him on the expressway!

LOL! I remember when my mom's driving first began to scare me.
My son is already telling me how to drive... he told me to make sure I come to a complete stop at the stop signs. I'm sure it'll get worse with time.

I've been doin' lots of praying myself the past little while, knowing that my son will be out driving. There's no doubt I'll be doing a lot more! (I don't think I'd be able to handle the stress & worry of parenting without knowing the Lord!)
