Anyone can develop PTSD. And it's not always as severe in some as in others. Sometimes the make up of the individual plays an important part of it. For example, a hardened psychopath can gun down a dozen innocent villagers and not lose a night's sleep over it. But I kid from Iowa who joined with an idealistic patriotism ends up gunning down one innocent person and they are haunted for life. I know that's an extreme example, but it is only an example. I believe something like only an estimated 1 in 5 vets have symptoms of PTSD.
Cops, firefighters, battered wives, rape victims, EMTs, first responders, even rescue dogs have exhibited signs of PTSD.
Hey, I didn't know that about your family history bro. If you don't mind me asking, why didn't you serve too?

Because my father didn't feel that was the direction for me to take. I was ready to join the Marines. But I had a full business going, great clients. While my father didn't like the biker element, and my altercations with criminal elements. He pressed me to change my mind and devote my energies to my vocation.

We just had a young girl get hit by a car on her horse. What does the Bible say about man being an animal? Why does it say that? What makes us leave being an animal in nature?
