You definitely can be Oneness or Trinitarian or even atheistic from childhood, based on your parents perogative.
In fact, had CC1 perished before coming of age, I was taught that if his parents were saved, he would be saved.
Of course, I was taught this in a Oneness church...

BTW, I did not start this thread to create opportunity for debate or any such thing, I just wanted to hear about how folks here became Oneness. Even if you don't have a testimony of getting a revelation, even if you were just raised in it so accepted it as the de facto way things were, that's still interesting to me. I cannot debate someone's actual history, anyway! lol
I'm just fascinated in seeing how people came to believe what they believe. So, again, thanks to all who responded.

Brother, I don't believe you started this thread to cause debate. What I meant was, it can lead to debate by others. That is why I normally don't post. I have seen it many times. There are some on here who "thrive" on debate and saracassum (sp) but they have the TRUTH. I apologize if I didn't make myself clear and again, I didn't mean you. I meant what a few others bring into it.

Re: How did you become "Oneness"?
An awesome thread really. Hardly any response. Maybe because according to the poll I took here a few years back the majority position on AFF is that Jesus is not the Father.

I didn't mean to imply that I thought you were saying I started the thread for debate. Sorry if it came out that way.
Although, I admit I love a good genuine debate (endless striving over stuff that goes nowhere however is rather pointless, in my opinion). And I do like me some good razor-sharp witty sarcasm. Gets the blood flowing. I've been through so many internet flame wars I've got asbestos skin and I don't take none of it personally (how could I? It's the internet! lol) but I also know some folks don't go for that kind of excitement.
But I love testifying about Jesus most of all, so if anyone wants to pick my testimony apart they can be my guest, I know which Rock I stand on and I ain't even skeered! (Besides, I'm in week 6 of my new lifting program, weight has stayed steady while arm size has increased about an inch and belly size has decreased, had a new PR on deadlift last week and I'm going to PR on squat and bench tonight Lord willing so all I can say is moar! faster! heheh!)

Congratulations on the lifting program. Takes a lot of discipline. God bless.

CC1, this is a forum. its name comes from the ancient marketplace or public square of a Roman city. Which was the center of judicial, business affairs, and a place of assembly for the people. If you remember Mark Antony's eulogy, Julius Caesar, Act 3, Scene 2, Mark Antony is called to the public chair which was located somewhere in the forum's evaluated area. He then proceeds to give an eulogy for the murdered Caesar. If you remember how the eulogy starts it starts with a defense of Brutus, but Antony turns this around. In a public forum debate, opinions, criticisms are all set before us, and towards us. Mark Antony before he gathers the attention of the forum kneels at the base of Pompey's statue. He asks forgiveness of his dead friend that he should be meek and gentle with those who murdered him. Yet, Brutus expects this when Antony brings out the cloaked and lifeless body of Caesar. But believes Antony to plead Brutus' cause and show the people how just it was to kill such a dictator. That's how life is, that is how discussion go, that is part and parcel of the public arena. You fly it up the proverbial flag pole and see who salutes it, or who shoots it down. If you are not willing to do that then hold your peace. You would be seen as the wiser for doing so. You have been with the evolution of this forum through the years. Everyone had a turn at the wheel. From the time of Brother Jim Yohe, through his death, through his sister inquisition of the Ultra Conservatives to the Daniel Alicia's trashing of what ever the Old Time Pentecostals held sacred.
We have a virtual plethora of varying opinions, you use the term old time Pentecostal without a thought. Your avatar is David M. Wasmundt's book Neo-Phariseeism. Your signature is Ethel Goss' quote on how the Charismatic movement was back in her day. How everyone looked like everyone in the world. The only difference was they were no longer Presbyterians?
Bro, you been around this stuff since you were knee high to a pygmy? So, you know what is a red flag waved in front of someone who believes opposite from you?
Seriously?

Re: How did you become "Oneness"?
BTW, just to clarify..
...when I said "weight stayed steady" I meant my own body weight, not the weights on the bar. This tells me that according to laws of thermodynamics I must be recomping (body recomposition, turning fat into muscle).

Lift heavy, and watch the bench.
If you can't rep it you might tear it.
Torn pec muscle is nothing nice.
