Still say that if TRC is considered conservative....they are on the far left side of the 'conservative movement'. However, I have enjoyed what parts of the services I have had opportunity to listen to so far.
I did not get to hear Bishop Wilson this time but I like him and usually really enjoy hearing him preach. The man is a genius.

You'll have a chance next month if you're available . He's preaching at my church for our Summit conference, and HGR's gonna be streaming it live.

Guess it's all in the eye of the beholder...

What a shame to see him "soften" on things so critical and biblical as what color shirts men on the platform wear and golf! LOL!!
The shirt thing reminded me of something a AMF guy told me when I was a teenager in bible college in the late 70's. He said he was at an AMF meeting and in the sea of white shirts there was one preacher with an orange one on. When he spoke he said "If I had come here to be seen I would have worn a white shirt!". For some reason I found that really funny.
Years later I thought of that story when I visited a AMF (actually the successor to the AMF) General Conference or whatever they call their annual meeting here in Middle Tennessee after having lunch with Elders Epley and Groce. Elder Epley was the liberal at that meeting as he was wearing a brown suit in a sea of black ones!!!!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I know you were joking, but the line he set was important to him, and I took it very seriously at the time. Bishop was young when he was my pastor. Perhaps age/maturity has caused him to see that some things are not worth the battle.
At any rate, I respected him then, and even more now.

I want to add this CC...Bishop Wilson never made those two things mentioned above a heaven/hell issue. When I wrote that he was "death" on some things, it was meant that they were his preferences...the convictions and principles he lived by...the choices he made at that time and season of his life an ministry.
