I don't necessarily mind him using the EOs as a stopgap measure, to reverse the tide of Obama's malfeasance. My primary concern is whether he'll continue just relying on them, or if he plans to work with Congress to get the measures passed as official bills. Otherwise, the next president could potentially turn around and change everything back again.

Re: First 100 Days
POTUS tweet from yesterday: "If Chicago doesn't fix the horrible "carnage" going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 2016), I will send in the Feds!"
I posted about this last month when he tweeted something similar and I'm still against forced involvement by the feds. It should be the state which acts, by either calling up the national guard or by requesting federal assistance. Under no circumstance should POTUS force the feds on any city/state. One thing I fear - POTUS has admired the "strength" of tyrants and communist government to quell opposition. I fear he may act to show the US and world how strong he is as well.
Sending the feds will not solve the problem. The issues in Chiraq will take more than just curfews and troops with M16s. Should POTUS act unilaterally and send in the national guard, there will be massive chaos in several major cities around the US.
This is a dangerous situation, and I hope someone has POTUS' ear and he doesn't act impulsively (aka like Trump). He has an opportunity to do some good things for the country, but this could really derail it.

Just posted about it, but forget about terrorist attacks, natural disasters or wars...POTUS could destroy his opportunities by invading Chiraq.

Re: First 100 Days
Now for some better news:
"""BREAKING: Trump to sign executive order tomorrow to direct federal funds towards the construction of a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border - NYT"""
It's not Mexico paying for it, but it's something. We've been through this part before -- where a bill has passed to build a wall but then it wasn't done or finished. I hope POTUS sees this through to completion.

Re: First 100 Days
Tweet from POTUS:
"""I will be asking for a major investigation into VOTER FRAUD, including those registered to vote in two states, those who are illegal and....even, those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time). Depending on results, we will strengthen up voting procedures!"""
Great! I hope Congress does look into the allegations of voter fraud and the DOJ prosecutes those who have committed voter fraud. I also hope Congress takes up a national voter ID bill.

Media slamming this.....
Some republicans distancing.....
But what about all that talk of Russian hacking? Where's that now?
This is a really good thing, even if they don't catch all the voter fraud, and it doesn't total 3-5 million (at least that they can verify), because if it leads to stricted voting laws in the future that is to the GOP and any conservatives advantage.
Dems hate voter ID laws because they know the fraud benefits them. Would be yuge if Trump was able to have voter ID laws by 2020.

I read somewhere Congress is taking the rest of the week off. Trump ain't about taking time off.
I think he's setting his agenda more than making laws. Most of this stuff is just orders, but will require congress to work out the specifics.
Simply saying "ease Obamacare burdens" doesn't specify anything.
Saying "build the wall" doesn't grant funding to do so.
Again, I think he is lining congress out more than anything.

The State Department’s entire senior management team just resigned
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s job running the State Department just got considerably more difficult. The entire senior level of management officials resigned Wednesday, part of an ongoing mass exodus of senior foreign service officers who don’t want to stick around for the Trump era.

Now, if we can just get everyone else in DC to resign, we might get something done!
