How is it judging anything? It's a call to praise the Lord. It's an affirmation of the worthiness of our God to be praised, in all matters and circumstances. What's wrong with that?

Answer the phone by saying, "Praise the Lord." You know your bill is past due but your greeting identifies you as a Christian and the past due status of your bills demonstrates your godly judgment and godly stewardship of the many blessings He has bestowed upon your life!
Speaking from personal experience?

That's a good question. Perhaps we should.

You have some serious, built up grudges in your life, it would seem. May I suggest you spend some time "praising the Lord"?

Re: Praise the Lord?

I think JD is a liberal something or other... I also think he views the use of "PTL" as a replacement for a simple "hi" or "hello." When people greet "Praise the Lord" I have never seen anyone begin to praise the Lord.

Re: Praise the Lord?

I have heard people use PTL and God bless you as a greeting. I was visiting a Church of God in Tennessee. I said "God bless you" and got a blank stare along with an "ookaaay."

A good question and a valid criticism.

Thank you for this post.

Sincerely.

I have a problem with religious people. So does Jesus Christ. Then again, it was the religious people that crucified the Son of God.
