So much for that unity the GOP was trying to shove down everyone's throats at the convention. It's bad when Gingrich comes out and says Trump is blowing it and isn't an acceptable candidate.

I'm worried that this demonstrates that Trump isn't psychologically fit to handle the office of the Presidency. Imagine the entire world going to hell around him, our allies distancing themselves from us, our enemies emboldened, nukes on the ready, and him begging the global community for a reset.

This isn't Monday night football or WWE wrestling. We need a solid and stable President.

Here's something else that concerns me. Even if Trump resigns from the race, then 168 Republicans will have to vote to establish a new candidate. Unless they go with Ted Cruz, the entire democratic processes will have been circumvented with the will of the Republican voters essentially not being counted. There's something very unsettling about this. If the current nominee should resign, the runner-up should automatically take their place, having had the second greatest number of Republican voters supporting them.

Should only 168 Republicans establish a candidate that wasn't the runner-up at the convention, and should that candidate win the White House, the legitimacy of the entire Administration could be called into question.

If Trump folds, they should automatically give it to Ted Cruz.
