Years ago, when JA was "evangelist Arcovio" He preached one of the most personally impactful sermons ive ever heard. It was in a youth meeting, it was utterly sound and is on a very short list of sermons I can recall in detail. That sermon some 20+years later remains one of those things that I return to, to insure I stay true to calling in my life.
Ive watched the Evangelist become a "Prophet" now I see he has made himself an "Apostle" I understand he has at times be a "Bishop". It seems the only thing he hasn't called himself to is the lowliest form of calling.... "teacher" sic...
It breaks my heart to see a man lead astray by his own ego. yea I said that... breaks my heart. This man all those years ago, impacted me, counciled me, directed me to a path that has helped me become a minister of the Gospel. I knew then his prayer life, and his commitment to fasting. I don't know many who prayed more or was more personally disciplined to fasting.
What happened? My heart weeps.

How many lost people has he preached to and brought them into a saving relationship with Christ?
Esaias, I cannot speak about the last 17 or so years, but I can tell you the answer to that question back when I knew him and prayed with him and talked with him and heard his heartbeat for the Gospel, the anawer to this question was MANY MANY MANY.
and I am talking about Acts 2:38/Water/Spirit doctrine.
Your question here is not a good one. Paul warned us. 1 Cor 9:27
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Re: Prophetic word by Bro Arcovio "no election"
I wonder, is this how John Arcovio became an apostle?
"Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and
teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of
Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate
me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they
SENT them away."
I believe in the "five-fold" Ministry: but it seems that most men in the Ministry
disregard the calling of prophet or apostle, and some tend to ridicule those offices.
I agree that the prophet should prove himself with the fulfillment, or not, of his
prophecy. Meanwhile, we should not be quick to look for stones to cast.
"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow
to speak, slow to wrath...".

A sad post indeed. I pray that the Lord will redirect this man's heart to a place of humility and humbleness. To once be in a place being mightily used of God, and then to have walked away from the humility of following Jesus, to one's own charisma and abilities... such a sad sad thing. I agree with you Ferd... this is so sad.
I don't want to cast stones and I certainly do believe in the 5 fold ministry. That includes Apostles and Prophets. I have known men I would call an Apostle. I have known a few who qualify as Prophet.
Those men paid a dear price and never once did they promote themselves.

JA used to be powerfully used of God.
We will see if he is right on this one.
All I know is that this prophecy doesn't help me, even if it comes true.
Reminds me of a couple who changed churches back in the day.
Their old pastor had "prophesied" that if they changed churches, their kids would die.
He was somewhat of a nut.
When they told my pastor this he said in his best preacher voice, " Yea, thus saith the Lord they shall not die".
Needless to say, HE was not the false prophet.

What was the sermon about?

You can rest assured he will have some explanation when he is wrong. I recall a few years ago a prophetic word going forth that a fairly young OP preachers son who was a preacher himself would be cured of cancer. When it didn't happen and he died damage control was done by another well respected OP preacher coming in and telling the church that "God changed his mind". Blaming God instead of admitting a wrong prophetic word blows my mind. I don't think the "Prophet" was being intentionally deceiving but I believe people can want something so bad within their own emotions that they mistake their own mind for Gods sometimes.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Why is my question not a good one? I know nothing about this guy and was trying to get some background on him and his history, that is all.
