BTW,

One of my young men had been to a conference somewhere and came back polluted...when leading worship he said, "Let's make love to Jesus now....come on church..."

We had a little meeting after that service and when the meeting was over, he understood the way of the Lord more perfectly.

That is unacceptable where I pastor, I don't care what big name said it somewhere.

That doesn't make my skin crawl like the "make love to Jesus" line, but I still find it a little off-putting.

I know Paul said we cry "Abba, father..." but I am not comfortable with the idea of reducing the majesty of God down to some teddy bear like image.

I know we can come boldly before the throne of grace, and He is our loving Father, but I think we need to be careful.
