I "...see these things...", for it has been given unto us to see them. If anyone

Yes, I see. We will rightly divide the 1st century church from the modern day church....The list of commandments given from Jesus to them, that we, today do not have to obey.

Yes, then they were to look up for redemption has drawn nigh (for 2000 years so far). But in reality, they were severely persecuted from 70ad and onward until now, not yet being delivered from this world.

24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles(70ad), until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.(1967 to now)

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.(Rev 19, when Jesus returns to rule the Gentiles with a rode of iron)
28 And when these things begin(prior to these catastrophic events) to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.(Our redemption is the catching away)

Some people just don't know how to rightly divide the word.

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2Ti_3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Nope not one thing about being profitable for reading future events!
We are to study scripture for those things that help us live a right life unto Christ.
Sean seems to think we are to study in order to determine the end of the world or some such nonsense. Fulfilled eschatology simply put all that end time nonsense behind us and live towards spreading the kingdom of God through the love of Christ. Not propagating fear through some last days destruction.
