Obviously there's more at stake than just this, but this statement by Ryan and Cruz just shows how naive Congress is when it comes to believing this administration will abide by any agreement like this.

If you think they are naive, then you are naive.
Every single one of them knows EXACTLY what's going on. Every single one of them is guilty of treason and is in violation of their oath. Every single one.

Re: Ted Cruz supports TPP
The TPP is part of the globalist agenda, the EU on steroids if you will.
All this politicking is posturing. Mr. "My wife is a VP at Goldman Sachs" Cruz, former advisor to Shrub, is playing his part.
BOTH PARTIES ARE RUN BY SOCIALISTS. HELLO??? HELLO??? Car 54, where are you?
lol

Americans live and work all over the world. You aren't going to stop global trade. We just need the details to benefit our country more than foreign entities.
Do you stockpile?

Here is the list of those that voted for the Fast Track, including Rand Paul.

Let's wait and see what their comments are concerning this issue.

- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

Help me out with this. Mitch McConnell has been trying to force this through, and even received a hand-written note from obama for his efforts trying to get this bill passed.
Yet, the roll call shows he was the lone Republican who voted AGAINST it! What am I missing?
Also, this bill says it's the "Ensuring Tax Exempt Organizations the Right to Appeal Act." The text of the bill is all of one page and there is nothing about trade in the text. Is this the right link?

That is the vote 52-45. McConnell's vote was procedural - it allows him to reconsider the vote.
More details - I am still trying to fully understand the whole thing. Elizabeth Warren is against it as is MoveOn.org. So, that gives me pause here to further see what is really going on.
In a nutshell, thus far, four trade-related bills were waiting for Senate approval. The Dems wanted ALL (fast-track) of them voted on in the package. The Republicans only brought two bills ticking off the pro-trade Dems who voted on a cloture motion, which means a motion to end the filibuster.
Orrin Hatch said he worked with Ron Wyden (D), agreeing on only two bills because the other two had a few problems (I believe currency manipulation language, which they might do separately) and felt they wouldn't get accepted to pass the bill. Reid wanted to discuss them all at the same time. Hissy fit on the floor between Reid and McConnell.
Anyway, we will hear more from Ted, Rubio and Rand on this.

Unions are also against it. I remember reading an article a few months ago which detailed why it was a bad bill. I'm trying to find it again.
