* Sanctuasry seats approx. 650 x 4 services = 2,600 possible at 100% capacity plus a 100 or so kids in Sunday School each service for a potential 400 more. Making a total potential capacity for 3,100 people.
* Whew, looks like the 2,308 was possible so no one on AFF will start a thread accusing us of inflating numbers!!!!
Well if your count was 2,501 you could round up to the nearest thousand and claim 3,000 legitimately.

Good "evangelistic" thinking!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Exaggerated Churches

Deception and lying is a sin. We had a good attendance (as most churches do on Easter), I asked our pastor about the number in attendance and he said 457 and it looked like they were that many in the sanctuary alone. When we had 2 services on Sunday, he was so honest about the numbers that if the same people were at both churches (ex. singers and musicians were at both service) they were only counted once even though they were in both services. With our 457 attendance on Easter, that counted the Spanish church in another part of the building and also childrens' church and nursery. I think they had an Easter Egg hunt after church but probably no additional count for that. Honesty and integrity are important. Lying and deception will send us to hell.
