Wait, are we being silent or speaking? You seem confused. First you accuse us of not speaking, then you accuse us of talking about things we (according to you) have no right to talk about. So, which is it? Should we speak up or shut up?

Ok. Let me simplify it for the dumb. White people who have never experienced what minorities are going through, should shut up and stop acting like it doesnt happen cause it does. Its easy to dismiss something when you have never experienced it.

The problem with your posts is that I invited EVERYONE to read the article and then to express their thoughts when I opened this thread.

So I really don't want people to shut up and you would be wise to know that you attract more people with honey than with vinegar.

I don't believe anyone here has stated, or even implied, that it *never* happens, but neither should it be stated that it's always the case when a "minority" (I really don't like that term, but whatever) gets pulled over/questioned by police.

There's no doubt racism still exists. It's hard to change the hearts of man. Nevertheless, I don't believe it's as prevalent as some are insinuating. Still, without some hard numbers to say either way, we'll likely have to agree to disagree. Only God knows the thoughts and intents of the heart.

What did you think about the article I posted at the begining of this thread?

It's interesting, but ultimately not really relevant to life in the US. One can claim that the mentioned "stop and frisk" policies are targeted because of race, or one can counter-claim that it's because a large number of black young men tend to lean towards a violent sub-culture, and it's only prudent for police to target their programs accordingly.

Black-on-black crime is worse than any other crime that supposedly targets non-whites, yet no one makes mention of that as racist. Why, because both parties are black? What does ultimately make something considered racist?

While I'm sympathetic towards that young man's experience in the Ukraine, he himself pointed out how one young college student over there was ignorant about using the n* word, because so many blacks use it themselves.

I guess my point is, unless someone overtly makes statements that shows they're racist, one can only guess; and ultimately only God can discern our true thoughts and intents. Maybe I'm naive, but I tend to lean towards giving the benefit of the doubt towards people, unless they give me a reason not to.

I think I rambled a bit too much in my reply, but I hope I got my point across.
