The GOP will blow it again if they go with another establishment guy.

Deacon, You are saying this after you just about bled and died in support of Mitt Romney?????

Jeb and Romney (if he runs) could split the moderate vote, giving the nomination to Ted Cruz, who would have the conservative base. I wouldn't mind seeing that.

Re: Jeb Bush for President - 2016?
CNN/ORC Poll from this month has Jeb Bush leading the GOP candidates at 23%. Chris Christie comes in second at 13%. Rand Paul 6% and Ted Cruz 4%.
Other tidbits from that poll:
69% want a Republican candidate who can beat the Democrat candidate, even if they don't agree with the Republican candidate on everything. Just 29% want a purist candidate.
While 40% say the fact that state government spending increased under Bush's watch as Florida governor, another 49% say that doesn't matter to them.

The problem is Jeb is being aggressive and showing a real desire for the job while all the others are acting like they're not sure if they want it or not.

In other words, they just want a candidate that can win-- even at the cost of putting forward a RINO.
Can you say Bush/Romney vs Clinton/X for 2016?

Yep, not sure which bothers me more - that, or the 49% who didn't care that Jeb increased the state gov spending while in office.

I might be mistaken, but I think part of his spending increase went towards education-- a good thing if you look at how attrocious the Florida education system was and we still have a long ways to go.
There are a lot of home schoolers and private schools in Florida and it's not just because there are a bunch of religious people here. Our public education system needs help but the retirees that live here don't seem to have a vested interest in that.

I don't know, honestly. I know he's all for Common Core, which many say is costly.

My money is on Jeb winning the 2016 election barring skeletons coming out of his closet.

I disagree with you.
I think Hillary IS the Dem 2016 ticket.
No idea who her running mate would be-- probably a dude.
