Romance Songs to the Lord

I'm female and the idea of singing a romance song to Jesus is 100 percent squicky.

I have problem with them in general as far as the idea goes. The bible talks very emphatically about Love and God's love towards us

It just depends on the song and how it's done

What if we did not call them "Romance Songs"? I don't see them as Romance songs

As I said in the other thread, men back then kissed each other. It was not romantic

The Western mind is really jaded today for whatever reason

I think that some of these songs are created by folks that want to market them for secular use AND religious use. They also can be sung at weddings. There is a bigger market for generic love songs that can imply God or a human lover.

Here is the song that really makes me want to puke in my mouth when I hear it... as a romantic song it would be fine... but as a worship song to the Lord, big ICK!

If she didn't say "Lord, I love the way you hold me"... it would be a really nice love song to someone you love... but adding "Lord" in there... well...
