I went to a church where I was told ushers carried. I was very concerned about some of the people who were probably carrying~some had bragged about their 'BC' experiences, one had a prior murder charge (not conviction), and supposedly another who was 'trained' to carry dropped his bullets running the aisles. I wondered who was supposed to protect us from them.
But biblically I'd refer to
Luke 22:36-38 as well as the verses mentioned earlier. He told them to buy swords, told them two were enough, and then rebuked Peter for using one all in the same night. So was there something more than use involved with the rebuke or was the mention of swords figurative or is there some other way of viewing these verses together?
