It doesn't have to be a
moderate GOP candidate either. It could easily be a Tea Party GOPer like Cruz. The issue is the media will pick the "moderate" candidate during the primaries that THEY like and proceed to give him (or possibly her) 90% of the coverage until the winner is announced at which point the MSM will turn 180 against the nominee. The only one who WON'T win is an independent not affiliated with either the dems or repubs. I take that back, it is possible (and likely) that such a candidate will win after a societal collapse and the people are looking for "a savior!" candidate. Unfortunately such a candidate will also be a 100% socialist (not that we don't have that now) and/or complete fascist such as Hitler.
