Re: Cpac 2013

PO. You think Perry is going to run in 2016?

I like Rubio, Ryan, and starting to take note of Paul. I think GOP could have a good field in 2016.

I don't know if he is going to run. I'm thinking he probably won't. I am not against Rubio, but I'd like to see a Paul/Cruz ticket myself.

The Left and Right are already starting to attack Cruz and Paul, so you know how that is going to go, unless we can really make a difference on our blog radio programs, personal blogs, Twitter and FB.

I don't know why people don't know who this guy really is? He ruined this party, destroyed the grassroots, destroyed the decent candidate, broke laws and RNC rules to steal the nomination. he should not even be in this building. Disgusting.... "Mr Severely Conservative".....

Just sayin'.... Praise the Lord I don't use curse words.

Let's get this straight. Romney did not ruin the Republican party. Stop with ad hominem and false attacks. He did not ruin or destroy the party, destroy the grassroots,

You want to know who ruined the Republican party? Your former Texas Gov - GWB is who ruined the GOP. GWB, Karl Rove and the TEXAS crew that was with Bush in the White House.

This was done well before Romney entered the Presidential races in '08.

I agree with what you have said about GWB and Rove, but don't gloss over the fact that Romney DID destroy the decent candidate, the grassroots at Convention, broke laws and RNC rules to get the nomination.

I'm glad he lost. And it wasn't that Obama won, it was that Romney lost, lost, lost.... He shouldn't have been in the CPAC building today.

Which decent candidate did Romney allegedly destroy? I won't argue grassroots, breaking laws or RNC rules, because I don't know enough of what you're talking about with regards to those. But which decent candidate did he destroy?

Rand, Cruz and Mike Lee are the only gutsy men in the party.

Rubio tries to frame himself as anti-Romney and anti-Establishment, but he walks too close to the Establishment line to suit me. Like I said, he isn't my enemy, but while he was joking about drinking water and skirting the issue of illegal immigration at CPAC, Rand was making the succinct points.

Nothing else really matters more than what you don't know about in bold. Are you saying you have no idea what Boehner pulled at Convention and the shenanigans that went on throughout the primary? It was discussed here at length.

If you are a Romney defender, the other question won't make a hill of beans to you. So, I"ll let that go. I'm not doing a tit for tat on past contenders.

I didn't say I have no idea what happened. I said I just don't know enough about it to argue with you. I read what happened and the issues with the convention. I know about the rules change, the issues with the voice votes, the Maine Ron Paul delegates, etc. That, among other things, is why I'm hoping Rand Paul continues to gain support.

That doesn't diminish the first question. You claimed Romney destroyed a decent candidate. Yet, the other candidates really destroyed themselves. Santorum, with his nutty sex-ed beliefs; Newt, with being Newt; Perry, with being GWB part deux. Ron Paul didn't destroy himself, unfortunately he was destroyed by way of being ignored and passed on by the MSM and even conservative media.

My defense of Romney isn't because I'm a huge supporter. I did vote for him in the election, only because he was the better Republican candidate. Had there been Rubio or Rand Paul, I would've likely voted for one of them instead. (Although I wasn't much impressed with Rubio's CPAC speech.) The allegations you made about Romney, however, are far-fetched, unfounded and more a personal dislike than a factional issue.
