  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: Chavez is Dead

My first choice would have been for Chavez to have;

-Not suffered from cancer
-Turned his life over to God
-As a Christian stop being a dictator ruining his country by socializing everything in sight and trampling over peoples rights

However since that did not happen I would have to agree with the poster who said our response should be to "party like it's 1999".

What an evil despicable man. The world is a better place without him. As far as his Vice President's accusation that Chavez "had been infected by Imperialist enemies" - if by some stretch of the imagination it was a CIA operation my hat is off to them as the last time they attempted something like this was a few decades ago and Castro is still alive.

We do need to remember Sean Penn, Louis Farrakhan, and Harry Belafonte as I know they must be grieving the loss of their hero tonight.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I always thought it to be Christ's desire everyone to be saved.
I know this is not the case with a lot of evil dictators, unless they repent and we don't know about it.....

I sense a different spirit on this thread. that's to bad!

Did you miss the first part of my post where I sincerely stated that I wished Chavez had been saved? Or were you just agreeing with me and observing you did not see that sentiment much on this thread?

How many worms has he not been able to pull from his writhing body yet?

Will there EVER be any relief for this ruler of men who most likely died without knowing Jesus?

Kind of eery to think about death in these terms.

Hitler.
Elvis.
Hussein.
Winehouse.
Reagan.
Jackson.
Chavez.

Did they have anyone in their lives who prayed for them?

Were the prayers of those who cared for them (if anyone) simply ineffective?

Did they ever themselves stop to pray?

Davidson.

Will you be ready?

Re: Chavez is Dead

This is certainly bitter sweet. His soul certainly must be taken into consideration.

It is a shame.

I certainly was no fan of him though, and I won't miss him or his antics.
