I know that the man who delivered this prophecy uses those words to distinguish his own personal thoughts from what he knows has come from God Almighty. He could just say, "It's just around the corner," but that might be his own thoughts. We know that when he says, "Thus saith the Lord, it's just around the corner," it comes from God.

I have no idea whether I am pre or post, an don't particularly care to find out. My common sense tells me that all those events are going to occur completely differently than our imaginations have colored them, anyway. Hi, AYR!

I don't really dwell on the subject of the translation of this human body. I just know that what I have read in the bible does not "fit" together with what I read.
It's all in God's time. It could be that many of us are going by the grave.

That passage is one of the scriptures I've read that did not fit with what was being taught over the pulpit.
I used to feel guilty for "doubting" what was being taught in UPC pulpits, but I am considered to be a renegade by them anyway.
I search for what makes sense to me.

I don't believe the Bible teaches a Rapture.

Re: End times prophecy /word of knowledge
Seriously, I've felt a more serious urgency, but it may be the Lord prompting me to get closer to Him because I am way too carnal far too often.
When is the call to get ready ever inappropriate?
When is the return of Christ ever not soon?

The guy that believes Jesus' temptation was temptation of the flesh. The flesh said "jump from the temple" and that was before shows like [ Donkey's Hiney] were popular.
What's that, flesh? Worship myself?
Word used not for Christian forum.
