Oh please. Martin attacked Zimmerman from behind after he had walked away and was heading back to his car. He just had to be the big man. Gonna show that cracker or rican he ain't gotta take it! "Run away". Please!!

I've seen worst results after high school fights. What about bar fights, dance floor fights, sporting stadium brawls-- are we all justified to shoot and kill the person we get into a fist fight with?

His nose is swolen, but no proof it's broken. Defense won't release x-rays of injuries, Defense says there are none.

Bleeding spots on th back of his head are just that, spots.

To hear some speak of this, you would think zim would have been a bloody mess after all this and he had no choice but to kill the 17 year old in order to survive!

After the murder, the videos show a fully coherent zim, moving fluidly, able to describe in detail his side of the story. According to the Defense, zim didn't even need x-rays for his "life threatenting" injuries.

When is killing justified? Is killing justified in every altercation

His injuries do not suggest some life and death struggle.

Futhermore, it could have been avoided and that is the point.

It's not determined whether he was attacked from behind or not.

He was performing, "Neighborhood Watch" duties and so he shouldn't have been armed while performing his duties.

If he was just standing around doing whatever, why did he target Martin?

It was prejudice pure and simple.

Zimmerman overstepped his authority. The dispatcher told him not to go after Martin. He should have followed that suggestion.

Zimmerman has a history of using excessive force. When he worked security at a club many witnesses saw him loose it and send a woman to the hospital. Guess she deserved it too. Smh.

What bothers me is we now live in a society where we excuse the actions of hot headed men.

I'm amazed that Christians on this board now condone violence against minors and women. Sign of the times I guess.

If he's trying to use the stand your ground law as means of protection then yes, its a HUGE deal he followed Martin.

The self defense ended when he followed Martin to engage in more confrontation.
