It is common sense. If I own a business an dyou tell me that I have to provide insurance, or I will be penalized (either way...i am paying) then I have to find a way to come up with that money without endangering my livlihood and the company. So I will do whatever I have to (raise prices, lay people off, cut hours) in order to make up for the new "tax" being forced on me.

The left can't see this becuase they live in fairy tale fairness and equality land where nothign costs anything and everyone succeeds.

U.S. stocks closed higher for the first day in four Friday after Congressional leaders reported progress in talks with President Barack Obama about cutting the government’s budget deficit.

The Dow Jones industrial average closed up 45.93 points, or 0.4 percent, to 12,588.31.

U.S. stocks shook off their post-election slump Monday, recording their biggest gain in more than two months. Investors appeared more optimistic about a deal to avoid a federal budget crisis and were encouraged by a pair of corporate earnings reports.

The Dow Jones industrial average closed up 207.65 points, or 1.7 percent, at 12,795.96.
