This is the same reason i just cannot be affiliated with the Republican party.

Combatant military service is in direct opposition to everything the NT sets forth for Christian lifestyle. When Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature...i just can't equate that with going into all the world and killing those who don't fit our political, religious or economic agenda.

It's a hot topic for me and I just can't understand why so many in the movement are ok with it. I believe the apathy and indecisiveness surrounding this issue is one of the worst sins confronting the present day church. It just blows me away really. Let me say with for clarity's sake.

Really, seriously? Republicans are war dogs. Apo pents are worse than anyone I have ever met. Speaking of war, I heard a preacher say that he is an American before he is a Christian. Seriously, really? That's sad. Really.

Defending ones nation against all enemies foreign or domestic is not murder. Fighting the Nazis and Imperial Japan wasn't murder. Jesus didnt preach pacifism.

The first gentile convert was a Roman soldier. He was praying, giving to the poor. Peter didn't tell Cornelius he had to quit his job.

I hold a strong position on the tv situation as well. I have;

* 92" screen / high def projector in the 8 seat home theater
* 42" LCD HDTV in den
* 40" LCD HDTV in master bedroom
* 23" LCD HDTV in office

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I thought you were aware that any TV over 90" will send you to Hell! You have crossed the line, my friend! Having watched a Monday Night Football game on said TV with you, I felt convicted and had to repent when I got home!
