Tell ya what. For every Scripture you quote
(and you only got two ) indicating that one
is possibly supposed to mentally invest in Politics,
I'll give you 5 that clearly indicate that that is the
very system that Christ called lost, and that anyone
who does not believe that politics is their avowed enemy,
let alone some shot at some better life, is doing satan's work.

Obey the law, pray for your leaders. That's it,
if you want God to hear your cries "in that day."
Don't you have to "join" a party to even vote for them?
Don't you know what Scripture says about "joining?"
Quack. Hey byrd, you're singing to the choir here. Just trying to give romney supporters something else to consider...but i suppose they considered it all.

Re: Is It UnGodly to Not Vote?

Why do we have to turn everything into a sin? Of course it's not "ungodly" to not vote--or to vote. It's a personal choice, often made because of godly convictions either way.

In this country we have privileges and opportunities that others don't have and to take full advantage of your citizenship and to express your liberty to the fullest, I think you should vote--even if you have to write in a name. However, whether you do or don't has no bearing whatsoever on your allegiance to Christ. No Christian ought to judge the worth or Christianity of another Christian based on such a secular measure.

Re: Is It UnGodly to Not Vote?

If you don't vote you have no right to open your mouth about our political system, (in which you are going to live in until you die, whether you like it or not!)

To make it simple, "if you don't vote you just need to shut up about politics!"

Hey, if this describes you, as a Christian,
then I agree. I feel sorry for you, and I'm convinced that
you only feel this way because that is what you were shown,
in pretty much willful ignorance of God and Scripture,
but one must do what they think best.

"What will you say if we get a Hitler?"

How do you think they got Hitler? Hmm?
He was popularly elected (which, btw, is impossible here)
after openly rebelling, and represented the will of the people
at the time. Don't let all the Aryans crying croc tears later
fool you.

Personally, I will say the same either way
(Hitler or Gandhi); you got what God gave you,
and you had no choice in the matter, whether you
believe you did or not. Need Scripture for that?

And now I'd like to make it simple for you;
if you vote, you should maybe shut up about
being a Christian? With all due respect.

A non-vote can also be a no-confidence protest vote. Every American has a right to that AND also still has his/her American right to speak having a voice in the process.

I wasn't going to vote. Now I have to vote for Obama to prove that I'm not a racist.
