Heard this today and wanted to add it to the conversation.
Libertarian's view of rape - On a strike, you keep the trespasser out. Eviction is a good thing and a bad thing. It's a property rights issue.
Pro-life says you don't have the right to evict nor to kill at any time. The left says you have a right to evict and kill anytime, even in the ninth month.
Libertarians compromise, you have a right to evict, but not to kill.
Sometimes, in the early days of the baby to evict is to kill. The unwanted fetus is a trespasser. Something is growing in her that she didn't agree to. Doesn't she have a right to evict that? If she doesn't have a right to evict that, we might as well kiss property rights goodbye.

Well, because that is when life begins. It's a no-brainer, IMO.
I am torn on the abortion in case of rape, though. Some say that you add two traumatic experiences - the act and the abortion - to the woman's life. But, carrying that reminder forever, I honestly don't know if I could do that.
Doesn't a D&C stop fertilization? I would go to the emergency room, right away, and take care of that.

what about the idea that life is eternal and the the sperm and zygote already have life? doesn't a woman abort life every month during menstruation and don't men abort life during masturbation?

But alone, neither is capable of creating life unless they come together.
Anyhoooo, I heard men lose their minds when engaging in that act and I, partly, believe it.  "A Playah only loves you when he's playin'..." Don't know what made me think of that. Oh, cybersex. It creates nothing, but havoc... Just sayin'...

i see the republican primaries have taken their toll. after the convention, when all hope is lost, i recommend a long break from politics.

DM - the sperm and the egg have no "soul force" IMO.
When they are joined, then the zygote can be said to have the potential for life.
When it becomes a fetus is when it would be a unique being, again IMO.
If you regard each sperm as life, I find hard to believe.
I think you are going for shock value rather than trying to have a discussion.
