Yep!
Each side thinks they have the mind of God! I agree with what ChicagoPastor has to say!

I think I have figured out why. When the libs pray God answers with the left side of his spiritual brain and when the cons pray he answers with the right side.

Then by all means, SPLIT already! Seriously, it's going to happen, and the sooner one side splits, the sooner we can try becoming United . . . (like that will ever happen . . . )

I agree here with CP. You're on a skinny, dry, cracking limb here, Con, with the suggestion that anyone who's for the resolution are carnal people
Oh and by the way . . . would those more spiritual among us who are against television stop being hypocritical and get off the internet also.
It's too bad the internet wasn't invented back when the television resolution was passed, or it too would have been banned.

C'mon man, don't question how spiritual these men are or aren't just because they don't have the same convictions you do.
If both sides are truly praying about the issue and after much prayer, the Holy Spirit has not changed either sides mind, then maybe that should let us know that the issue is one of personal conviction and not one that the Holy Spirit thinks we all need to agree on.
|
Again, agreed with CP here. It's a personal conviction - NOT a Biblical conviction.
And this resolution isn't going to force anyone to advertise on television! If anything, those that want to advertise on television should be angry and upset that the others are indeed forcing them to refrain from it.

In the Civil War both sides had generals that prayed and God was on both of their sides that God won either way.

I hope it passes so everyone can just go on their Merry way, find the camp they want to fellwoship and move on. As long as it doesn't pass we'll stay in this sort of Limbo that we've been in.
The Libs want it to pass and the Cons want it to pass too. don't fool yourself. the Cons want to leave the UPC and this will give them the reason they are looking for. I am right I know I am

Let me get my "seer" stone out and peer into the magic hat and see what I can prognosticate:
Hmmmm....it's becoming clear. Issue #6 will again be halted due to some "hackish" political maneuvering. Some churches will leave over the political maneuvering.
Those who are for Res 6 will join those who are already using TV. The orgainization will do nothing about it (as is happening currently) and unless some UC's get control of the Org, nothing can or will be done to the churches using TV advertising. Pastors will get more weary of an Organization telling them what they can or cannot do in their churches to reach their cities.

On second "look" into the hat......the UC's will be ones who leave by an large due to the fact that nothing will be done about those using TV.
