Always wondered where mimosas came from. Think I'll get me a margarita tree!

Thanks for y'alls help...
I was going to suggest crabapple. we have one and the flowers look like that.

ours produces a fruit that looks applish but about the size of a blueberry and not really edible.

Same here. Funny thing is the fruit is still on (some) from last year, while the new blooms are coming out now.

Can't have a crabapple tree, too expensive.

Really? Ask Dagwood to bring you a plant from his!
Usually new growth sprouts up underneath the trees.

That's that big flea market isn't it? I was there once or twice. It's very huge!

Yes, it covers the whole city. It's ridiculous.

Re: What Kind of Tree Is This?

crabapple trees are expensive? wow, I didn't know that. We think they're pretty much useless around here and tend to pull them out whenever we see them. There are a couple growing down by the railroad tracks near here. Too bad there wasn't a way to send 'em to you, Cindy. Or even a start from one. I don't know how the nurseries do that - send live plants in the mail. Do you??

by the way, I would swear that the picture is of a Dogwood Tree. My neighbor has one we've been babying for years around here. Sooo pretty. Actually, she had two. One white. One pink. But sadly, my neighbor has died. And I don't know who will be living in their house now Hope they are as good as my friends who died tho.
