I would like to clarify something, I nor my wife wears a wedding ring we are as conservative as they come, however, I am not entirely opposed to Apostolics wearing them. I feel that it could become an issue when someones wife is pregnant and what could that say about thier witness? I also understand that there are several people that would not want thier spouse to be flirted with, so they opt to wear a ring in mutual submission to thier spouse. I hope this makes sense, and if there is someone that can provide a better argument than "its a sin" then I would be grateful.

Jacob after his consecration in Gen. 35 was given all the earrings and he hid them.

The jewelry that Aaron used to make the calf had its source in Egypt. Does that make one question its acceptibility? :WHO IS ON THE LORD"S SIDE"?

Isa. 3:16-21 shows us both pride and the attire of the daughters of Zion. God declares he is going to take them both away. Both pride and jewelry in the same breath?????HMMMMMMMMMM

Pride will manifest itself, and if affordable, enjoys it.

I am great. The sun is shining. There is a cool breeze blowing. I just ate until my hearts content. I think I'll enjoy the afternoon sitting on the veranda sipping on sweet tea. Fly in sometime for a game of polo, or croquet! And the kids will have a blast in the stables.

Can you provide me a scriptural reference that after thier captivity to Babylon, they once again took up idolatry and its practices?

I would say I feel them same about some of what you have said.

We do not/have not/have no plans to wear or own wedding rings.

I do not feel that it is a sin to do so. I think it is a wonderful life to live things beyond what we feel would "send us to hell".

What a marriage it would be if we decided each day what we were going to do toward our spouse with the criteria of "I don't think she would divorce me for that".

After nearly 16 years of marriage (and 3 kids) we have never had one problem with our witness or with anyone viewing us as anything but married. There have been no issues with gasps, stares or flirts.
