"Some of them ("compromisers") are threatening to sue! We need this Resolution!"
Another target was a man that I consider to be a great Christian. He pastors an unnamed church somewhere in Silicon Valley. His wife is an accomplished musician and recording artist, but I'm not naming anyone by name here. This pastor was literally robbed of $10,000's of dollars when the "Boner" Terry crowd went after him.
"Are you gonna pull out now!?!" they gleefully demanded (pull out of the UPC). They obviously knew nothing about real character and grace. The pastor just ate his losses and continued to support the district and the UPC. Guys like this are never recognized across the pulpit at GC or in our published magazines.
Of course, if word ever got out about how we treat guys like this, it would be a real scandal and cause of embarrassment. Can't let the Sheeple know the facts!

It's a nasty thing when people say things like that and do things like that. I think it is interesting when crooks are let go because people are afraid to challenge them. I understand just being the bigger person, but I guess in the end they got what they got.

Re: What will Bro. Haney's legacy be?
LOL As a friend of the Price family, I find it hilarious that you all think he is dead.
"The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated."

Fact check before you post smut.
As for Reverend Haney - His life will be reflected as a life of Moderation. He was truly a Christian Man. He stood for Holiness, inward and outward.

Re: What will Bro. Haney's legacy be?
It's one thing to quote someone's names as they are referenced. It's altogether different to directly use words like "smut."
But, I suppose "the establishment" would have no idea what that term really means. We folks from the world know, and it's not a nice word at all. So, how about looking something up before it's posted on a Christian forum and try using an alternative...

whoop! My bad! Thanks. I was thinking of Bro. Starr of Michigan. I always thought the two men had similar appearances and voices and so, my gaff. Long life to you, Paul Price.

Settle down NorCal. It was an honest mistake. As for "smut" ... I guess you heard Ike Terry tell the "Boner" story too, then.
That's a FACT. So was Jesse Williams' public rebuke at GC of the "smutty jokes" you guys love to tell.

The Assistant General Superintendent of the UPC used the word "smutty" to describe the jokes the so-called "Terry/Price Mafia" regaled each other with. And, he said it right across the pulpit at General Conference in 1992. Now, posting those jokes themselves on AFF would be a serious breach. It's just something the "Holiness" guys liked to throw around and they just hate getting caught at it.
On a similar note, just look at the "gay jesting" that was cross posted here from the "Apostolic Preachers' Forum" last year. Those guys are just plain coarse.
Back on topic now... those guys who tell smutty jokes really gave Kenneth Haney a hard time. They also led the charge to remove Bro. Haney from office. NorCal knows this.
One particular aspect of Kenneth Haney's enduring legacy will be how he met this sort of coarse backbiting with kindness and graciousness. What else do you think will constitute Brother Haney's legacy, NorCal? Compare and contrast this with Paul Price's legacy.
Now, I obviously never had the chance to get to know Bro. Price. From his pulpit ministry, however, I always thought that he was a pretty good preacher. It's just a shame that you guys led him around with your "smutty" conversation (Jesse Williams' words, not mine) and pressured him to throw good men out of the fellowship.
BTW, NorCal, if you're too young to remember 1992, ask anyone who was there. Ask Jesse Williams himself.

KH did some good things but he wasn't perfect.
Why do we deify people when they're gone?

I gotcha. I wasn't trying to be ugly. I just think that word is very derrogatory and belittling, never mind the fact that, according to your post above, people in leadership were using it in a variety of ways to take someone else down...
