Re: Return to "standards/notv"?

By the way the reason I do not have a television is NOT because I am so spiritual I don't have one because I am too carnal. Carnality breeds carnality and I am carnal enough without one. And in truth I don't think most folks are any more spiritual than I so I think it is their carnality asking for television not their spirituality. Just a thought.

That is what happens when we do not walk after the Spirit but try to use rules to keep ourselves sanctified.

Drop Box, pick it up and Drop Box again. Not normally.

When people allow themselves, like Samson to be tied with new ropes they get blinded.

Yes, Samson pulled the pillars on top of the crowd. Look what he personally lost. There is ALWAYS a price. I consider it WAY too expensive. I'll stay bound to Jesus. I have no desire to be FREE as the standard droppers call it!

A TV is no more wicked in and of itself than your computer screen that is connected to the internet. If you do not watch anything wicked on the internet, then you are not setting a wicked thing before your eyes, are you? Internet is sending more people to hell than TV ever did or ever will. But using internet and not TV is another example of ridiculous reasoning to hold to tradition at any cost.

Carnal? Is that another way of saying "I enjoy it"? Then, yep. I have a TV because it's "carnal".

Movies, games, news, weather, sports, documentaries, ... Love that carnal stuff!

No. The television decides what you will watch.
