Ok, reinstate the "who was the first Apostle to burn in hell" question then.

How repentant can one get? He punished himself for his deed. Do you think God will keep punishing him forever?

Oh, and was Jesus wrong when he said to the twelve (including Judas) that they would sit on twelve thrones and judge the twelve tribes?

Jesus is never wrong!
Jesus is just.
Jesus will be the judge!

Re: Who Was The First Apostle To Die?

I think the sin of suicide is forgivable in at least some circumstances. Not sure what I think about Judas though.

Re: Who Was The First Apostle To Die?

what about John 17:12

12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

son of perdition,

perdition ä-pō'-lā-ä
1) destroying, utter destruction
a) of vessels
2) a perishing, ruin, destruction
a) of money
b) the destruction which consists of eternal misery in hell

Re: Who Was The First Apostle To Die?

That may speak to the condition of Judas at that time... If I rejected God I too would be a child of the devil, yet I may return to the Lord before death.

Re: Who Was The First Apostle To Die?

It's wierd, but now that I've got him in hell, I'm tempted to argue to keep him there. But maybe you are right, maybe he got right with God and is drinking heavenly nectar, sitting on the clouds of glory strumming a harp atm.

Re: Who Was The First Apostle To Die?

When we think of the most egregious and vile humanity we tend to forget we were lost even as they too were lost - unworthy of any good thing beyond death.
