Oneness people say trinitarians believe in three gods.

As for his statement, I think he has lost focus of the Oneness View. We never deny any of the Titles. We are not afraid of the title "Father".

Also note, that for years Baptist have been silently converting to Tongue Talking, Jesus Baptizing (as well as other organizations) by the droves. They just have not jumped ship and have tried to push it in their organization.

Some do say that for sure.

Anyone who makes such false claims deserves to not be taken seriously in anything else they might have to say, IMO.

Chain Thing, The Main Thing, For Young Ears

Why don't you young spiritual "Libyans and Egyptians" throw off the chains of traditions that have bound us and divided us? Inquiry has discovered the main point of our "breach" is: "How do we share the number "3?"

The Spirit Camp is divided into two groups, "Trinity" and "Oneness." Trinity, 3 persons in 1 manifestation; Oneness, 1 Person in 3 manifestations. Literally, for centuries, this has caused Trinity to be afraid of the Name of Jesus and Oneness to be afraid of "Father." Let us forget aged debate and look at revolution illumination. Oneness or "Jesus Only," is incorrect. It cannot be correct because it leaves out God as creator and Holy Ghost in regeneration. So we cringe when see Father or hear Father! This means our prayer power is devoid of creative power and regenerating power."Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ by your Spirit" is complete. Trinity, on the other hand, refuses to use The Name of the Lord Jesus Christ in baptism. This means nothing has been invoked that has power to wash away sins. Now, you must understand the Mubarak ears and Qaddafi ears will not receive this. Religious, political kingdoms, have been built upon the foundation of the House of Cloe. If we suddenly agreed to merge our divisions into the Unity of Original Faith, we would destroy the House of Cloe. Then the "Democracy of Theocracy," would claim again, for Him, His Prodigal Earth.

On another note, "why don't you young Baptist, who speak with tongues, get out of the closet?"

Trinitarians are afraid of the name of Jesus??? This must be why trinitarians wrote songs like, "His Name Is Wonderful", and "Jesus, There's Something About That Name." And I've heard Kenneth Haney lead about a million prayers, each which started with the word, "Father."

He did a good job of writing something that irritates oneness people, trinitarian people, and baptist people. Good job!

I like the guy but I think he is playing with fire.
Explain what you mean by the bolded.

Re: Kenneth Phillips note on facebook

Apparently this man has some odd notions regarding both Trinitarian and Oneness

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

That wonderful godly man Earl Paul who pastored a Mega Church in Atlanta was the most successful proponent of this doctrine in his heyday (before it became public he had been having multiple affairs with women in his church AND that his nephew was really his son - he had an affair with his brother's wife)

It's an idea proposed by such people as Gary North and R. J. Rushdoony. They propose that we are currently living in the time the Bible prophesied as being the Millennial Kingdom. We, as Christians, have dominion over this world and its resources.

There are many flavors of Dominion Theology. Their differences usually come down to various attempts to adapt the idea of "Kingdom Now" with reality.

I think Ferdando was referring to a particular teaching that isn't really "Dominion Theology" but is usually called "The Manifest Sons of God." This is the idea that we, as Christians, have all of the same "powers" that the resurrected Jesus Christ displayed. This is a more "spiritual" take on the idea of "Kingdom Now" and less political than North and Rushdoony's brand.

For centuries?

I don't know any Trinitarians who are afraid of the name of Jesus.

No one has jumped on this?!?! "1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." Yet if I don't pray "Father..." my prayer has lost creative and regenerating power? That power rests in Jesus, and is present whether I vocalize "Father" or "Jesus" or not... it's through our faith, not the utterance of our mouths, that power comes through prayer.

There are some Oneness preachers who preach that Trinitarians believe in three gods. Not all do, by any means, but there are some.
