All I am asking is why do preachers do it? Are they talking about certain members that are causing trouble in their church? If so why not make a private forum just for that and the rest open?

Second, most of the board is open for discussion or to read to anyone. Less than 10% of the board is not viewable to the public.
I know that & frankly most of these charges about the Preachers forum are patently false at least to what I can read anyways which is 90% except for Admin area.
There are issues that Preachers & or their wives may want to open up about their lives or Ministries that other Ministers can relate to without having it broadcast to the WWW.

Prax, sometimes I feel like you and some of the others who are opposed to a closed Ministers forum feel like the guy at a 70,000 seat stadium where the Superbowl is being played that when the players get into a huddle on the field surely they must be talking about me!

You are promoting a class system here you see.

So simply admitting you do it makes it alright for you and not preachers? I don't follow your logic or lack thereof here. Preachers talk about problems with other preachers. It's exactly the same thing you are doing.

Considering they use their real names then I can see the need for a closed forum. Anonymity takes care of that problem for those of us who don't use our real names but since they do then I can understand.

Your analogy falls a little short. Preachers talking about laypersons might be a little closer of an analogy.

Either you are a novice and don't know anything beyond foundational truths, or you do not go beyond the foundation as a means to control the sheep.
If you ever find yourself in Vancouver, Canada sometime drop by Grandview Apostolic Pentecostal Church and you see the exact opposite!

Bring earplugs though, with HM you don't get the best in Worship Leaders though. that would be me.

Ron you do realize all I asked was what is the necessity. There is no reason to attack me personally. This sort of response only makes people even more suspicious.

Are you a preacher? Do you discuss things on preacher only forums?

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
