That is just what I thought the issue was about. I don't know what Walker meant when he said, “Currently, we’ve had a long tradition when it comes to fire and police service in the state of Wisconsin. Statutes are very different when it comes to whole series of rights and responsibilities." I haven't checked into it.
My thinking is that our test scores in this country are very unfavorable in the world and I'm not particularly happy with keeping a bad teacher, who has been around forever, just because the collective bargaining makes her/him stay on.

As far as that teacher being laid off... I don't think we can make a definitive case that she should or shouldn't have been over any other teacher there.

My daughter was in Kindergarten, her teacher smoked in the bathroom during nap time, mixed up all of their paperwork giving out to the wrong students, taught how to count using the "dot method", gave me a list of words that my daughter should memorize. I asked her when they would get into phonics. "Oh, probably sometime next year."

I'm not a fan of the public school system, as you can see.
Anyway, I have some things I have to take care of this afternoon, so this is my last post. Have a good day, Frog!
