There are (3) categories of Americans moving out of the country.
1. Retirement. Booming trend. Retirees moving to Asia, South, Central America in record numbers. You're going to want to check it out I dont have time really to disprove a negative LOL.

2. Jobs. Goes without saying and since you have come to realize that you could be potentially buried in jobs evidence I note you not so cleverly removed that category from the table. Why do you think immigrants come up from Mexico and other places? Your "not for jobs" category? Good grief.
3. Disgust/taxation. New trend actually
Waiting periods at overseas consulates to renounce citizenship are growing.

If you have any other questions consult your fellow americans on the expat forum and ask them, one by one, how they are doing and if they feel they are better off having left the US for other opportunities. As we did before we left the US. I otherwise have little time to address baseless opinions.
