My only connection to Memphis is that one of my sisters went to the ALJC Bible college there, and that we know the older Johnsons. I think my sister (Becky) dated Charlie Johnson for little while....
No, we didn't go to the campmeeting. I have family going to the Youth conference in June, so I'll probably attend a night or two with them.

What's sad is that so many people who are wrapped up in this WPF thing are still so hypersensitive about the unscrupulous manner in which it was birthed that they bristle at any comment concerning them or the org.
Maybe Jeffery was right about the "Fear, fear, fear..." comment. Both responses concerning the "good men" and the term of the Chairman appear to be rooted in a latent fear or phobia.

I'm not bashing anyone in the WPF, and I recognize that there are many good ministers and their families in that new organization. However, I still hold the position that the formation of their organization was entirely unethical, and you're right about the hypersensitivity.
What's done is done, but no one is going to sweep the original process under the rug. It would be better if they'd just "own it", and then move on.

Good heavens. The original poster only posted info for folks to be able to listen to some good campmeeting and then it has to turn into arguing as usual. So sad.

Are you all just LOOKING for something to complain about? This thread only has 26 posts so far, for Pete's sake. If there was much arguing going on, we'd be up to 10 pages.
Jeffrey made a remark about fear, fear.... other than that, no one had said much of anything before the complainers came out.

Oh yes, the "we need to be anti-Trinity" guy.
Heard the concluding message was 45-minutes of what "we preach against." Someone told me they weren't even sure if they heard Jesus' name mentioned once, perhaps it was a concluding prayer. Maybe you can post a link and we can see for ourselves?

I have looked for archived audio but can't find any.
He spoke of Jesus the whole message because he talked alot about the Godhead & doctrine.

Is that right? Would love to hear it. Post it if you find it.
What is "the doctrine" (being interpreted, "the Teachings) that he spoke about that are inherently about Jesus?
The Gospel is still about the Story of God, who we were, who He is and through Him how we've been rescued. It all points to Jesus.
Cox, what do you call "The Gospel?"
