Man, I almost agree with that! Mainly, because the majority ignore the HMH and you can't ignore a loony charismatic!

Re: Global Network of Christian Ministries

I've never seen anything like that at GNCM, but if you're referring to Dino - I didn't go that year. This past year, Tommy Barnett spoke and Jack Hayford, and several others. It was awesome and a wonderful move of God, with people in the altars weeping. I've never seen THAT at GNCM before either.

Why don't you come down the Global Regional event in April, it will be in Torrance, I think you will like the new Spirit and vision of the leadership. Scott Jones is as best as they come. There are some younger guys who are becoming a part of it.

April 17-18 I believe are the dates.

are you trying to hurt my feelings or offend me with words like "charismatic looniness"?

I've considered GNCM

I am not a member...but have several good friends who are. I have been to some of their meetings and enjoyed them. Good people...with a Christ-centered purpose...make a good organization. And from what I've seen...this is one.

Are you being serious? Was that really the wording, "play the piano prophetically" or are you so loosely paraphrasing something you have completely changed what was said? If you are accurate in your wording of what was said did they further explain what exactly playing the piano prophetically involves?

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Global Network of Christian Ministries

CC1, It would not surprise me. From what I have seen Global has broader extremes than UPC in regards to those who both accept and reject anything "prophetic". There are those who are very much into word of faith type hype (IMO) and also those who shun and semblance of "the gifts".

100% accurate, yes sir! I don't remember if they described it but I know it was a bit of a fad for a bit within charismatic circles that mostly evolved from the renowned piano prophet, Kim Clement. He claimed at that he would play randomly as God would tell him and then healing and miracles and signs and blah blah blah would take place.

I typed in "Prophetic Piano" into Yahoo and a bunch of stuff came up.

Maybe it was just the local region that was into that stuff but I received a couple of flyers promoting church events and it was advertising renowned charismatic types, including Clement, appearing in Global churches. Maybe a few scared me off.

Hmmmmm.......I guess much like doubting Thomas I will have to see it to believe it. LOL!!! However if you change your mind about this type thing I happen to have a "prophetic radio playing" ministry. For a relatively small guaranteed offering I can bless your saints by turning the radio dial until I am moved to stop at a particular song that will bless them. I must warn you though that often I am impressed to stop on the oldies station and Hotel California ends up speaking to a lot of folks.
