Maybe the NBA should adopt some sort of Affirmative Action plan to seat and play more talented whites.

I mean, couldn't the argument for AA for whites in the NBA be made from the angle of American whites being disadvantaged?

That would depend on one seeing affirmative action as a good thing.

Legislated prejudice is no better than freelance prejudice.

It's a good thing that AA is not legislated prejudice-- at least not on paper.


I think the way many people interpret and carry it out is nothing short of prejudice and encourages "tokenism", something I absolute hate.


Hiring a "minority" just for the sake of having a "minority" on your staff is wrong and sets that "minority" up for failure.


However, it would be impossible for the white players of the proposed all white basketball league to experience the same failure if all the players in the all white basketball league are white, playing the same game on the same level playing field, without competition from anyone else who may have an upper hand in any way simply because they don't have the same background.

Yes. The thought you were putting forth in your last paragraph is clear.

I would say of the bolded portion...

This is very similar to the failure of legalism in religion. People learn how to emulate a particular action but they miss the real point entirely.
