Ask the woman to sing in the first place? Or chide the congregation for judging her appearance?
In my opinion, the most heinous behavior was someone trying to cover up a SINNER with a shawl. Come on. If she was worthy of being asked to sing, then her appearance should have been left alone. If she was too immodest to stand on the platform, then she shouldn't have been asked.

In many black churches they have "matrons" that part of their job is to cover the women that fall.

So, basically, this was the "shock & awe" part of the Easter service?

While in Iraq, I ran into a Baptist believer who was walking and singing to himself a gospel song (I forgot the name of it). But I stopped him and began to fellowship with this believer. I told him I was leaving Iraq soon and had sermons and music. The first preacher he asked for sermons from was Bishop Noel Jones. I gave him the copies of the sermons I had from him, and was very glad to give him one sermon that emphasizes the Oneness of God. That sermon, my friend told me, he enjoyed the most.

Cool testimony. That had to be a good feeling for you to be able to bless this man with some good preaching. I would imagine fellowship and hearing the word preached is difficult in a Muslim nation.

If a person wanted sermons, they would have to get them mailed to them as you can't even use limewire or kazaa to download sermons-- bandwidth concerns.

Re: Fiasco at Bishop Noel Jones Easter Sunday serv
I think it would have been fine to acknowledge her presence, but because she doesn't represent Jesus and isn't saved she should not have been singing. She needed to be ministered to. Darkness and light cannot walk together. In my opinion, that is the mistake that Bisop Jones made.
