Re: Pit Bull vs. Porcupine

A man was walking into a Walmart when a guy shouts from a distance while catching up to him, "Hey Mister, is that your pit bull in that black truck."

"Yeah, why?"

"I'm really sorry to tell you, but my dog just killed your dog."

Angry, the man asks, "What kind of dog you got that can kill my pit bull?"

"A chihuahua!"

Taken back, he asks, "Mind telling me how your chihuahua killed my dog?"

"He got stuck in his throat!"

Pits and mixes can all have good temperments. They are prediposed to be great with people - particularly kids. The danger is taking into account what they are capable of when handled by idiots.

My issue is that idiots buy all breeds of dog, yet the pit bull continues to be an issue when it comes to fatal attacks. When the margin for error becomes so small and the potential for fatal attacks becomes so great, you are not dealing with a true domesticated breed. IMHO

Actually, I think the idiots gravitate toward pitbulls because of their reputation. Thus perpetuating the cycle. I do agree that pitbulls are much more capable of damage than most breeds, so I understand your position. I actually like them, but would think twice about having one.
