Oh its not just submarines, I was a Seabee, never stepped foot on a ship, much less a submarine.

IMO it is a bad idea. To many variables and personalities. There will be problems. Women in combat is a bad idea IMO. To chivalrous I suppose for this generation. Hot racking occurs on subs, unless I am mistaken, which leads to other issues as well.
Then there is the price that is paid by the unit when one member is down. How long will a woman be on medical leave because of a baby? Also, what about the physical requirements. Are they required take the same physical fitness test or is it easier for the women's test? How long before women will be drafted along with men? I don't want to see wives, mother's, daughter's, and grand daughter's drafted.
This has nothing to do with intelligence or ability though if they are going to be in the service the physical requirements should be the same. If they can't handle to bad. look for another career. Many want to do the same job but have different requirements for acceptance. That is unacceptable IMO.
How about an All Female Sub crew? Yes we can even paint it pink?
Like the old Coors commercial, "'Guys, it just doesn't get any better than this.', and then the all-female submarine crew surfaced, and things got just a little better."
