The banana peel that started us down this slippery slope?

Well...the porn industry (which has destroyed so many homes and marriages) is a direct result of the invention of photography. In a way. photography has been much more responsible for the moral decline of society than TV .

Again.... I would have thought it would have been the printing press. All those idea's which could have been easily subdued had the written word not gotten out.

You might be right! Without the printing press, us commoners would never have been able to analyze scripture. Everything holy would have been spoken to us, and we would have no other choice but to obey that spoken word.

Pornography didn't begin with photography. 1st century BC - Kama Sutra.
The oldest examples of pornography were found in Germany and estimated to be 7200 years old.

Considering prostitution is the oldest (or 2nd oldest?) profession, I am sure that porn did not find its birth place with the invention of the camera either.

True. I always think it's amusing when people talk about how terrible the world is "these days". Makes you wonder if they've read the Old Testament.

While this is true, the photograph pushed porn into high gear as never before!

It just goes to show that most anything can be used for good or for evil.

Cars have been used to facilitate a LOT of evil.
(I'm still thinking we need to make them a sin.)
Seriously, though, they have. People can get into mischief much easier with a wider range than they could 200 years ago.
